Hundreds from around the island turned up to watch the renowned Grammy-award winning reggae band, formed in 1968, perform a two-hour set which included signature numbers Sweat and Bad Boys.
With fans gathered in front of the stage to dance and sing along, the crowd went wild as the Jamaican band also launched into some of reggae’s greatest hits, such as Three Little Birds, One Love and more.
The festival continues on Tuesday with a concert by jazz fusion guitarist Okan Ersan and German band Noise Adventure. The festival finishes with Turkish rock singer Teoman, who performs on Wednesday.
Both concerts take place at 9pm at the Salamis ancient theatre. Tickets cost 20TL for the Okan Ersan event and 30TL for the final night, and will be available on the door. To book or for more details, call 0392 630 0500.
