The sell-out, one-hour concert was described by its organisers as the TRNC’s ‘‘third biggest’’ such event after DJ Tiesto and Sean Paul’s, hailing it “a huge success” despite allegations that South Cyprus authorities had attempted to stop it taking place.
The 28 year-old singer took to the stage by saying “Hello North Cyprus” before entertaining club-goers, including local people and tourists, with his renowned numbers including Pass Out and Earthquake. The highlight, however, came when the audience joined in to sing along to his song Written In The Stars, said club staff.
During the night, resident DJs Umut Özsoy, Barış Pulat and Emre Üstünkaya also performed alongside DJ Charlesy and Masterstepz who took over the stage from Tinie Tempah.
