Mağusa Youth Centre stages an open-to-all, free-entry DJ street party from 4pm to 1am tomorrow.
Hand-made accessories, secondhand clothes and books, and food will be on sale from stalls along Liman Yolu Sokak — which runs from Namik Kemal Square and the renovated Bandabuliya to the Petek patisserie — with the return this year of the monthly “Tuhafiye” second-hand market, started in the Walled City Association garden in 2016.
Organisers advise shoppers to come early to see what is on offer.
A three-DJ line-up promises ethnic oriental mix Deep House music from DJ Arman, with Turkish disco folk edits by DJ Famahostos and reggae, dub and drum ’n’ bass sounds by G-Dubz.
A spokesman for Magem said they were “celebrating the start of summer and end of exams”, adding: “Nice tunes and nice people! Meet us in the street!”
