The great betrayal

  • 08.01.2019

I watch in horrified amazement as the great and good of the British political establishment determinedly busy themselves with the overturning of the freely expressed will of the British people, especially of the 17.4 million who voted to leave the EU, whilst at the same time deceitfully claiming that they are delivering it.

Theresa May’s EU “deal” is as dead as it is possible to be. So it should be, because it ties UK more closely to the EU’s will than being a member state presently does, while at the same time relinquishing any say we have in EU affairs.
She still defiantly clings on to it, knowing full well that when she finally gets round to allowing Parliament to vote on it (January 16, 2019), she will crash to defeat.
Meanwhile the clock is ticking towards March 29, 2019, the day we are supposed to exit the EU.
