The competition was held for the first time last year in İstanbul, where Turkish athletes won 20 medals.

Dosi Panagiota, of Greece, took the gold medal as the only athlete to clear 1.79m, retiring after failing to clear 1.82m on her next attempt. Silver went to Amzucu Adina Ionela, from Romania, for her 1.76m clearance, with Sara Lucic, of Bosnia Herzegovina, having to settle for bronze because of initial failure before clearing the same height.
The overall competition saw Romania top the medals table with seven golds, three silvers and two bronzes. Turkey came in fifth with two golds among a total 15 medals.
