Emphasising the importance of the month, which also known as Pink October, Mrs Kocaimail said: “Throughout the whole of October and throughout the world, the issue of breast cancer in women will be prioritised. The condition can be prevented and we will continue to raise more awareness every year that early diagnosis can save lives.”
Expressing pride in the work of Tulips, she highlighted that there were between 170 and 200 diagnoses in the TRNC every year. “Compared to the past, the age of women being diagnosed has fallen drastically," she said. "Young mothers and even women who are not married are joining breast cancer patients."
