Flights at Ercan Airport are to go on as scheduled after an agreement has been reached between trade unions and the government over disputed overtime pay.

More flight disruptions were feared today as trade union representatives representing fire fighters at Ercan Airport warned they would not work their overtime hours, if they failed to reach an agreement.

Public Servants’ Union (KTAMS) chairman Güven Bengihan this afternoon announced public sector workers will see a 15 percent pay cut in their overtime salaries, over the next four months.
