Three brothers-in-law of one of Akacan's alleged victims, Zeki Asımoğlu, were alleged by Akacan to have approached him and threatened to kill him if he did not come up with the cash.

Akacan and his bodyguards, Orçun Özorçun and Vasıf Kurbaov, are accused of beating up businessman Erhan Başay while he ate with friends at a restaurant in January.
