The announcement was made with no warning on Tuesday when thousands of passengers who had already booked tickets were told that flights had been cancelled.
A notice sent to AtlasGlobal customers and published on its website said the decision had been taken as part of a “new phase of restructuring in order to provide you a unique flight experience”.
“During this period, all flight irregularities on the tickets until December 15, 2019 will be assessed by our teams,” the statement said.
“All procedures regarding involuntary change and/or refund [of tickets] will be announced on December 16, 2019, on our website.
“Tickets sales will be suspended until the December 16 . . . on all our sales channels including our website, mobile apps, etc.”
People who have already bought tickets have been told to write to firstname.lastname@example.org with their PNR code and flight information if they have “any further enquiries and questions”.
The move means that there are currently only two companies operating flights with three airlines to and from Ercan airport – Turkish Airlines, Pegasus and Turkish Airlines-owned Anadolu Jet.
