Police Deputy Inspector Halil Seven told Gazimağusa District Court three rounds had been fired at an empty office belonging to senior prosecutor Mustafa İldeniz, in the Themis Centre on İlker Karter Caddesi, at 3.15am last Saturday.
The shots were said to have been fired by a man in a hat who hid beside an olive tree on the pavement, where a police sniffer dog found the spent ammunition. No-one was hurt in the incident.
Serhat Tokur, Yusuf Başeğmez and Ferhat Bitirmiş appeared in court on Tuesday after having been arrested in Girne, followed by İsmet Sezener, Veysi Batur and Metin Güler who were brought to court on Wednesday.
Mr Seven said they were under investigation for offences including possessing illegal firearms and explosives, shooting in a residential district and intentional damage, and that two more people were being sought.
The court heard security camera footage had shown Tokur, Sezener and Batur driving from Girne in Sezener's car before the shooting. Güler was pictured at the scene and was believed to have received the weapon from Tokur after the shots were fired.
