The fire was reported to have started at the warehouse at 3pm on Tuesday. Fire fighting teams were joined by Değirmenlik Municipality workers in putting out the blaze.
Smoke surged out of the depot and into the air, causing onlookers to think the supermarket was on fire. The smoke was caused by the burning palettes and plastic cases.
Police are still investigating the cause of the fire.
