Group complete 'I CARE' project

A GROUP of 14 local businesses and organisations have completed a charitable project to refurbish and equip seven rooms in Lapta Care Home which accommodates some 30 elderly residents.

The initiative was carried out under the “I CARE” slogan of Lord’s Palace Hotel in Girne and was marked with a lunch on Monday last week that was attended by Labour and Social Security Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu, Lapta Mayor Mustafa Aktuğ, Lord’s Palace Hotel director Olgun Aydıntaş and the home’s manager, Mehmet Ali Ellidört, along with other government figures and hotel executives.

During their visit, the group inspected the newly-renovated and freshly-painted rooms which have also been fitted with air conditioners, satellite televisions, lamps, bedding and curtains.

Mr Sucuoğlu presented plaques of appreciation to officials of Lord’s Palace Hotel and to others who had contributed to the project, including decorator Selen Poyrazli and representatives of companies such as Elektrokur, Cin Textile, Asel Group, Mir Food, Hometroniks, BYT Consultation, Akinoks, Tektan Ltd, Celer Wood, İpek, Tüccaroğlu Kuruyemiş and Kıbrıs Construction.
