The 30-year-old charity has raised £500,000 since 2010 alone for much-needed cancer treatment equipment and recently received government permission to help with a wider variety of devices including those related to heart disease.
Its Heartbeat shop underwent a “sprucing up” last year, but recent heavy rain and a bad leak from broken roof tiles forced volunteers to muck in, mop out and take sodden stock home to wash last month.
