Three Nigerians arrested for assault

Three Nigerians – Madvabuchi Michael Iheoha, Chukwunwike Ernest Okeke and Chidiebe Lucky Nwachuawu – were arrested on charges including robbery and serious assault.

They broke into Victory Chidibere Edeh's rented home to demand repayment of money they claimed his brother owed them, the court was told.

Two held Mr Edeh “by his hands and feet” while the third “bit [him] on his right brow” the court heard, before robbing him of 3,500TL, $400 and 160 euros in cash, it was alleged.

Mr Edeh told police his brother owed no money to the men and claimed he had been targeted because he came from a well-off family.

The suspects were remanded in custody for up to two months on last Thursday.
