MUNICIPALITIES are being urged to fight in the courts against higher water charges from May 1 that most say will “inevitably” be passed on to consumers.
News of the imminent rise came hot on the heels of recent price hikes in peak-time electricity, bottled gas and petrol which triggered a day of industrial action outside the Prime Ministry yesterday by three trades unions in protest at government policies they claim are fuelling inflation.
