The bipartisan proposed Eastern Mediterranean Security and Energy Partnership Act of 2019 – introduced by Democrat Senator Bob Menendez and Republican counterpart Marco Rubio and referred to the US Senate's Foreign Relations Committee – would also give $3 million next year in Foreign Military Financing assistance to “valuable Nato member” Greece, $2 million apiece in International Military Education and Training assistance to Greece and “key strategic partner . . . Cyprus”.
