Turkish President Erdoğan, European Council President Tusk and European Commission President Juncker also met with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov at a working dinner.

Speaking at a joint press conference following the meeting, President Erdoğan called on the EU to be fair on the Cyprus issue, saying, “Regardless of the course of the Cyprus question, the equal participation of the Turkish Cypriots in decision-making mechanisms regarding the natural resources surrounding the island is required by international law.”
Erdoğan also stressed that as long as the EU does not take a fair stance, it would not be able to make a contribution to resolving the Cyprus issue.
