Royal British Legion Kyrenia branch standard-bearer Kim Tyler and his wife Jenny represented the North Cyprus group at a tribute to the WWI generation that served while defending their country.

The couple joined thousands of RBL representatives on Wednesday, August 8, parading the Kyrenia branch standard and a wreath respectively, in recreating, 90 years on, a 1928 Great Pilgrimage by veterans and war widows to the Somme, Ypres battlefields and the Menin Gate.

Mrs Tyler said from Ypres: “We are so excited and it’s very emotional. We are among over 2,000 [people].
