The issue is among questions which have been voiced about the Girne church’s accounting and administration procedures.

A source close to the diocese said findings of an “investigation into the accuracy of administration” were expected to be released soon.

It comes during the absence of chaplain Wendy Hough. She was not present at the annual church meeting on Sunday, April 22, as she was in the Netherlands with her sick daughter, and has returned there after a brief trip to the island.

Denise Phillips, whose daughter Courtney Muskens’s wedding certificate was among those in the missing file, was given a retrieved copy by Archdeacon John Holdsworth in a meeting on Monday, but said she was worried by discrepancies from an original document given to the newly weds after their September 8, 2016 marriage.
