Lapta’s Sardunya Bay beach bar and restaurant played host to the trio – bassists and vocalists Hugh O’Neill and Gavin Simons and drummer Alan Bartholomew – in front of a large audience.

They played a two-hour set while guests sat down to eat or had a drink.

Inchequin members said they had been receiving “rave reviews” since starting gigs around Esentepe in March and planned to return to the west of Girne.

A spokesman for the venue said they were delighted to host the band and would be pleased to see them at Sardunya again.
