The final, at Sh-Boom bar in Alsancak, saw more than 100 people turn up to watch eight acts that were judged by Erdal Çağer, Evgania Zhilskaya, Pat Bucknall and Fatih Sultan, who announced the top four.

The first three places were occupied by singers, with Emmanual Obi scoring overall victory to scoop 1,000TL-worth of prizes. Sadie Poulton came second to collect 800TL in prizes while in third place was Sonia Kemal who won 600TL in prizes followed by trombone player and singer Dave Mandel in fourth place who took away 300TL- worth of prizes.

The youngest singer, five year-old Roman Kemal, the son of third-placed Sonia Kemal, received a special round of applause.

Dave Mancini, organiser of Got Talent show, said: “It was a spectacular night and all contestants were worthy finalists.

This was the first-ever talent competition of its type to be held in North Cyprus and we are planning to hold another one next year.

“It provided an excellent platform for people to show-off their talents. The champion, Emmanual, performed a fantastic Michael Jackson ‘Man in the Mirror’ act dressed up like the famous late king of pop and all eight acts put in great efforts”.
