The five-strong band, made up of guitarists HüseyinAltan and Kadir Evre, Nikolai Petrovich on double bass, Konstantinos Efraimides playing the clarinet and solist Miray Çakır Rhodes, played to an audience estimated to number some 100.
The two-and-a-half-hour performance saw the musicians roll out numbers including Gypsy jazz songs, swing, jazz and numbers by Django Reinhardt.
Last of a series of concerts entitled “The Soulist Jazz Nights” which ran throughout July, the event was also the first time the band had taken to the stage at the venue, whose staff said jazz- lovers thoroughly enjoyed the music and that the band would perform again at the venue in the near future.
