The 2017 Summer Ball, on Sunday, September 10, will feature İstanbul six-piece rock, soul and blues band Soul Stuff, and also promises a sumptuous four-course dinner with wine accompanied by soft jazz from Duo Maestro.
BRS chairman Danny Dugan said the event would be on the hotel's spacious open-air terrace with an upgraded menu this year and that he had broken with tradition to bring in the live band.
He said: "They are something really special, terrific and energetic, and some of our committee members saw their last gig here. The band will fly over from İstanbul, where they are based, and the hotel are building a special stage set for them."
He added that the dinner entertainment, Duo Maestro, had already gone down well with members at The Hermitage royal birthday party celebrations in April.
Soul Stuff played Bayram concerts in Bodrum and performed at Soulist in April before appearing at Girne's Ego Bar.
The band is headed by guitarist/vocalist Alper Cengiz, with guitarists Emrah Baban and Reha Hendem, drummer Burak Ersöz and a brass section of Mehmet Ünal on trumpet and Emre Demirci on trombone.
Tickets are now on sale to BRS members only, priced at 160TL for members or 200TL for guests, on production of a valid membership card, or the card of a member for whom they are buying tickets.
Mr Dugan said new members were always welcome and advised would-be dance-goers to buy their tickets early as no reservations will be taken.
Tickets, BRS memberships and renewals are all available on Fridays throughout August from noon to 2pm at Dostlar restaurant and bar near Denizkızı Hotel, Alsancak.
Free coach transport from both Karşıyaka and the Karpaz will be available with timings to be advised later.
