The presentation saw festival organisers Roland Eyerich and Alper Cengiz hand over a 12,504TL cheque to Tulips founding chairman RaziyeKocaismail, who in return presented the duo and their helpers, Mr Eyerich’s wife Cornelia Fischer and Adeleh Mozafari, with a traditional silk-cocoon plaque to show her appreciation for their efforts.
Organised for the second time between September 27 and 29, the festival hosted some 50 musicians from both sides of the island who performed on one stage for the same cause.
Mr Eyerich thanked Tulips “for being a partner in this project” and the team at Soulist for their support, along with everyone who contributed to what he and Mrs Kocaismail described as “a most successful event”.
