Tatlısu will play host to 104 competitors from some 20 countries in the event organised by the TRNC Air Sports Federation (ASF), which launched with a glitzy ceremony in Girne on Thursday evening and closes Sunday.

High winds forced the cancellation of today's competition, but if conditions are right, paragliders are due to be in action from a take-off area 250 metres above Tatlısu, to the landing site near the western edge of the village, between 8am and 4.30pm today – followed by an evening of concerts and other activites from 6pm to 9pm.
