NERVES began to show as the K-Pet Super League entered its last month, the runaway leaders both experiencing some jitters before securing wins to underline their title claims.
With just three games left, defending champions Yenicami remain at the top of the table on 67 points with Mağusa Türk Gücü (MTG) second on 65 – both now safely out of reach of third-placed Merit Alsancak Yeşilova and Doğan Türk Birliği in fourth, on 52 points apiece after the latter could only draw 1-1 with ninth-placed visitors Cihangir.
Pundits said MTG were “resurrected” at Baf Ülkü Yurdu on Sunday, in a must-win game to keep up the pressure on the high-flying Eagles, already with a win under their belts from last Friday night.
