When a person wins the lottery, they become the center of attention. They appear in newspaper articles, online, at community events, and wherever people are trying to raise funds.
When people win the lottery, there is usually a lot of attention that comes with it.
They will want to look their best. How do you dress like you won the jackpot? You probably weren't wealthy when you hit the jackpot, so what clothes do you wear?
Trend
Look at the fashion magazines for the coming year. Short shorts, the most exposed tops, and mini skirts. This is the trend headed our way. There are times when showing skin is acceptable, but rarely will a person with money take it far. A person of class wows their beauty.
They will wear short shorts, lovely minis made of high-quality fabric, and a low-cut top is not an issue as their clothing is altered to fit them, and with a few dressing tricks, their tops won’t fall, showing their nudity while walking through London or Paris.
Another trend you can expect is (extremely) baggy jeans and oversized blazers. Again, these can be great items but stay moderate. Take them for altering, so they fit well, even if they are baggy.

Casual
Expensive clothes look great, but that does not mean they are uncomfortable. Quality clothing is made of natural fabric that breathes. They keep the body temperature at a natural level. There is a different look to the way the shirts, trousers, jackets, and jeans fit. They are altered to fit the body. Slipping into something easy will feel like slipping your hand into a glove. A good fit gives you flexibility. There is no friction, binding, or pinching. Most off-the-rack clothes are too snug or too baggy. People get used to wearing loose clothes, so when they see clothes that are not loose, they assume they are snug.
When a financially comfortable person is dressing casually, they are wearing clothing that is acceptable to wear to lunch in a 5-star restaurant for lunch.
They avoid rough fabrics, such as linen and canvas, which can take an outfit down a couple of notches. They embrace leather shoes and quality fabrics that take any outfit up some.
During casual hours (before 8:00 PM), lighter colors are expected.
Women will wear
• Suits
○ Pants and jackets
○ Skirts and jackets
• Collared shirts
○ Well-cared-for collared shirts are a must. Have them professionally ironed. Have them tailored to make them fit correctly.
○ Button-down shirts are the most accepted
• Skirts to the knee or slightly above (depending upon the wearer's height.)
• Tailored dresses
○ or dresses made by hand, especially for the wearer
• Capris made of dress-pant material
• Some locations will accept well-fitting jeans or jean capris
○ Never wear jeans with holes or frays
Shoes will be leather:
• flats
• Loafers
• fine-polished tie-ups
• nice sneakers (if jeans are allowed.)
• Flip-flops are never okay. (For that reason, sandals are often questionable.)
Clothes that show excessive cleavage, back, shoulders, stomach, and thighs, are not acceptable for daytime casual wear. Jewelry and perfume are to be minimalized. Make-up should look as close to natural as possible.

Casual elegant, after 8:00 PM.
You will now switch to darker colors. Think royal blue, navy, black, dark gray, and chocolate choices. Men will usually wear suits. However, they can wear jackets over button-downs and dress pants. Women will wear suits, dresses, or skirts and will be expected to closely complement their partner’s suit. Note, you will always do well with a black or gray suit for him and a black dress for her. You can add color with the tie and pocket square. The purpose of this is to look “together” when seated. Same-sex couples are not expected to wear matching clothes. However, they wear complementary colors. Now is the time to wear your fine jewelry, wear more make-up, and spend more time on your up-do.
