Rain and strong winds to hit North Cyprus on Tuesday and Wednesday
In its weather outlook covering October 6-12, the department said the region will remain under the influence of a low-pressure system, with cool and humid air in the upper atmosphere during the first days of the period.
Scattered rain is forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday, with winds expected to strengthen locally during periods of rainfall.
From Thursday onwards, conditions are expected to improve, with mainly clear to partly cloudy skies.
Maximum temperatures inland are forecast to range between 26C and 29C during the first part of the week, rising to between 30C and 33C later in the period.
Temperatures along the coast are expected to remain around 26C to 29C.
Winds will generally blow from the north and west at moderate strength, becoming locally strong during rainfall.
